More About E-Wallets at Online Casinos
What an E-Wallet Is
An e-wallet holds a balance of its own and sits between the player's bank and the casino. Money moves into the wallet first, then from the wallet to the operator. The casino sees the wallet, not the card or account behind it.
That intermediary step is the whole point, and it is also the thing that makes this the most varied category on the site. A card network processes a payment. A wallet decides whether to.
The Wallet Has Rules of Its Own
A reader who assumes an e-wallet is neutral plumbing will be surprised. Two of the twelve published here show how far a wallet will go, in different directions.
Wise restricts it by currency. Its help centre states that Therefore, gambling transfers involving USD, CAD, IDR, ILS, MYR, NOK, JPN, RON, SGD, TRY and AED are not allowed
— a currency-by-currency refusal, not a country one, which means the same account can be usable for one transfer and blocked for the next.
OVO, in Indonesia, campaigns against online gambling. The company describes GEBUK JUDOL atau "Gerakan Bareng Ungkap Judi Online" merupakan inisiatif OVO untuk memerangi aktivitas judi online (judol) di Indonesia.
— an initiative to combat online gambling activity in Indonesia, run by the wallet itself.
Who Regulates the Wallet Is a Separate Question
A casino's licence says nothing about the wallet's licence, and the wallet's own regulator can change what a reader can do. Three examples from the pages here: one from a company's own terms, one from a regulator's register, and one from a regulator's press release.
AstroPay's terms identify the regulated entity: Larstal Limited (FRN: 901001), EMI authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011
.
MuchBetter shows what a change looks like. The FCA register entry recorded for MuchBetter on this site is that of MIR Limited UK Ltd, and it states that On 11 May 2026, MIR Limited UK Ltd ("the Firm") entered into a Voluntary Undertaking with the FCA to refrain from onboarding new customers without the FCA's prior written consent.
Existing customers are not the same as new ones, so "available" and "open to new accounts" are different statements about the same wallet.
Paytm shows the same thing in India. The Reserve Bank of India's press release records that the Paytm Payments Bank cannot accept further credits into its customer accounts and wallets after March 15, 2024
… — the rest of that sentence sets out the UPI steps that followed. The words matter: the stop covers customer accounts and wallets alike, so the wallet was not outside it. Nor was it temporary — this site's record for that row notes the bank's licence was cancelled on 24 April 2026 and that the Delhi High Court made winding-up orders in July 2026. What no source found states is whether any Paytm wallet works for a gambling deposit today, which is why the row is marked limited rather than discontinued.
Twelve on This Site, and They Are Not Interchangeable
Twelve e-wallet pages are published: OVO, Wise, Payz, DANA, Paytm, AstroPay, MuchBetter, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Revolut and GoPay. Most carry a limited status, and the reasons differ from one to the next — a currency restriction on one, a regulator undertaking on another, a regional footprint on a third. EcoCard, a thirteenth, is recorded as discontinued and is not published.
Reading the category as one thing is the mistake this page exists to prevent. The only safe generalisation is that the wallet has terms of its own, and they are the thing to read.
What This Page Does Not Do
It does not rank the wallets, because the right one depends on the reader's country, currency and operator. It does not say which casinos accept which wallet: that is per operator and changes without notice. And it does not restate a wallet's fees, because those are set by the wallet and revised without warning — the wallet's own schedule is the only current source.
