About Payz

What Payz Is, and Who Publishes It

Payz is a multi-currency wallet with a payment card attached to it. Its Google Play listing is published by FTCO LIMITED, sits in the Finance category, and was last updated on 22 September 2026. The publisher’s own description of the product is short and specific: Payz lets you send, receive and manage your money in multiple currencies. It offers online payments in more than fifty currencies, instant transfers between an account holder’s own accounts and other Payz users, and a card said to be available in eight different currencies for spending in person.

The listing narrows that card in its own footnote: the Payz Mastercard is available to account holders at Silver level and above, subject to the Payz Mastercard terms, in the United Kingdom and most EU and EEA member states. That footnote decides whether there is a card to spend at all, and it turns on the level the account has reached and the country it was opened in. It also says something the rest of the description does not — a Payz account has levels, and what the account can do depends on which one it has reached.

The Two Names on the Trade Mark Register

Payz is a registered word mark in the United Kingdom, number UK00003346548, in class 36 for financial services. It was applied for on 18 October 2018, registered on 19 April 2019 and runs to 18 October 2028, and it stands in the name of FTCO Limited, a company incorporated in Cyprus, at 73 Metochiou, Engomi, Nicosia. The same name holds the European Union mark PAYZ, number 018061433, registered on 25 September 2019 and running to 6 May 2029, and the ECOCARD mark for prepaid cards at that same Nicosia address. The publisher of the app carries the same name at a different Cyprus address, in Strovolos.

The older ecoPayz name is on the United Kingdom register as well, and still registered: number UK00002625950, class 36, for financial services provided via the internet, running to 26 June 2032. It stands in a different name — Ecopayz Bank Limited, a company incorporated in Dominica. When or whether the ecoPayz name gave way to Payz could not be established, and neither register records a relationship between the two proprietors, so no rebrand and no date for one is stated here. What can be said is that the wallet published today carries the Payz name.

The Firm Behind the Electronic Money

The support address on the app listing is at psipay.com, and a firm named PSI-Pay Ltd appears on the Financial Conduct Authority’s register under firm reference number 900011 as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution, a permission held since 13 March 2018. The register describes that status as permission to issue electronic money and provide payment services, and records that the firm currently trades under four trading names. Companies House shows PSI - PAY LTD, company number 05899168, as active, incorporated on 8 August 2006 under its first name, Payment Services Infrastructure Limited, and classified as financial intermediation not elsewhere classified. That support address is the only link between the wallet and the firm that any of these records shows.

Money in a Wallet Is Not Money in a Bank

An electronic money institution is not a bank, and the protection attached to one is different. The app listing puts safeguarding forward as a selling point: as an e-money institution, it says, it protects customer funds through safeguarding. The Financial Conduct Authority’s own entry for PSI-Pay Ltd is more exact about what that does and does not cover. It states that the Financial Services Compensation Scheme will not be able to consider a claim against the firm if it fails, and that the firm may be required to safeguard funds it receives from, or on behalf of, customers when providing payment services or issuing electronic money. Safeguarding is a requirement to hold customer money separately from the firm’s own money, and it is not the deposit guarantee that stands behind a bank account. A balance left in a wallet between casino sessions sits under the weaker of those two arrangements.

What the Listing Declares About Your Data

The app’s data-safety panel says that the app may collect personal information, financial information and five further categories of data, that no data is shared with third parties, that data is encrypted in transit, and that a user can request that data be deleted. The panel also says, on its own face, that the developer provided that information and may update it over time. So it is a declaration by the publisher rather than an audit of the publisher, and it is worth reading as one. It says nothing about what a casino’s cashier does with a card number, which is a separate question and one only the casino’s own terms can answer.

Fees, Limits and Where It Is Accepted

No fee, no limit and no transfer time is given on this page. Those figures sit in the account’s own terms, they are tiered by the level the account has reached, and they change; a number copied out of an older guide is a number nobody can check. The same goes for a list of the countries the wallet reaches and a list of casinos that take it. A cashier’s menu of payment options changes without notice, and the only answer worth having is the one on the cashier screen at the moment of the deposit.
