What Happened to iSoftbet

iSoftBet no longer operates as an independent supplier. On 11 April 2022 International Game Technology PLC announced an agreement to acquire it for approximately €160 million in cash, describing iSoftBet as an igaming content provider and third-party game aggregator; IGT furnished a further Form 6-K on 5 July 2022 announcing that the acquisition had completed. IGT said the deal would more than double the IGT PlayDigital content library to approximately 225 proprietary games and would add a proprietary aggregation platform for distributing third-party games.

The brand's own website, isoftbet.com, no longer resolves, and a search of the Gambling Commission's public register for "isoftbet" returns no results. The licences did not disappear: they sit with renamed companies that IGT now discloses as its own.

The Business IGT Bought

IGT's April 2022 news release described iSoftBet as having primary office locations in England, Malta and Romania, around 350 employees and contractors, approximately 260 igaming operators as customers, and games certified by 20 European regulators. It put the portfolio at approximately 125 proprietary games plus more than 4,600 third-party games through the aggregation platform. Those are IGT's figures as at April 2022 and are not recorded here as current counts.

Licensing Today

IGT's own jurisdictional disclosure states that ISB Magma Ltd (C 89637), of 35 Straight Street, Valletta, is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority under licence number MGA/B2B/624/2018, issued on 12 May 2021, authorising Type 1 (Casino) critical gaming supplies. The same disclosure lists ISB Albion Limited among the IGT companies licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission.

The Gambling Commission's public register records ISB Albion Limited under account number 54705, at 6355 S Buffalo Dr, Las Vegas — IGT's own address — holding remote gambling software and remote game host (casino) licences numbered 054705-R-331137-008, active from 16 August 2019.

Ownership After 2025

IGT PLC itself has since changed shape. In a Form 6-K dated 1 July 2025, International Game Technology PLC, doing business as Brightstar Lottery, announced that it had completed the sale of its Gaming & Digital business — the division containing PlayDigital — to a holding company owned by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc., and that from 2 July 2025 it would trade on the New York Stock Exchange as Brightstar Lottery under the ticker BRSL. The gaming and digital business continues to trade as IGT, whose site states that IGT and Everi are affiliated organisations.
