SG Interactive No Longer Exists as a Company

SG Interactive was the digital arm of Scientific Games, and the brand has been retired. The SEC's company record for Light & Wonder, Inc. lists SCIENTIFIC GAMES CORP as a former name of the same registrant, ending on 15 April 2022. The Gambling Commission's business register returns no result at all for "scientific games" or for "sg gaming". A search for "sg interactive" returns a single entry, and it is not a licence in that name: it is a trading name of Global Draw Limited, account number 2875, a gaming machine technical licensee based in Manchester.

Who Owns It Now

Companies House records Light & Wonder, Inc., of 6601 Bermuda Road, Las Vegas, as the only active person with significant control of Global Draw Limited, holding 75% or more of the shares and of the voting rights, notified on 3 March 2022. The previous controller, Scientific Games International Holdings Limited, is recorded as having ceased on 2 March 2022.

Where the Games Went

The slot brands the SG Interactive name used to carry are now presented under Light & Wonder. Light & Wonder's iGaming site features Rainbow Riches, and its own trademark lists — described on its site as lists of marks owned or controlled by Light & Wonder, Inc. or its wholly owned companies — include BARCREST and the RAINBOW RICHES family of marks.

"Scientific Games" Now Means a Lottery Company

The name Scientific Games did not disappear with the rename; it went to a different business. The company trading as Scientific Games today describes itself as a global lottery company, built on partnerships since 1973 and focused on government-sponsored lottery and sports betting programmes. It is not the casino games supplier SG Interactive was, and it should not be confused with Light & Wonder.
