What OpenBet Is

OpenBet is a betting and gaming technology supplier, not a games studio. Its own statutory statement describes it as a global company supplying betting-related products and services to online and retail sportsbook operators, and its product and news pages are about sportsbook platforms, trading and pricing systems, bet builders, player protection and lottery operators. Any casino content a site runs on OpenBet comes mainly from third-party studios.

Ownership Has Changed Three Times

OpenBet has passed through three owners in four years. Endeavor Group Holdings closed its acquisition of OpenBet from Light & Wonder, Inc. on 30 September 2022 for approximately $800 million. On 24 March 2025 OpenBet announced the completion of its sale by Endeavor to OB Global Holdings LLC, in a management buyout backed by Ariel Emanuel with participation from OpenBet executives. OpenBet's modern slavery statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2025 states that the business is part of the OB Global Holdings, LLC group, and that OB Global Holdings, LLC is a privately owned company registered in Delaware.

Where It Is Licensed

OpenBet Limited, of Building 6 Chiswick Park in London, appears on the Gambling Commission's public register as account number 3213, with a remote gambling software licence. OpenBet's own home page claims 85 licences across every major region but does not name the regulators or the numbers, so no other licence is recorded here.
