William Hill Casino is an established bookmaker and gambling site that has been in operation continuously since 1934. Fittingly enough, it all began with a telephone betting service started by William Hill himself well before the internet was even a dream. They took to the internet in 1998 and have been running ever since.

William Hill Casino
William Hill Casino
William Hill Casino is backed by a rock solid reputation and more than eight decades of experience in gambling. Between the live dealer games, real money slots, table games and more, WilliamHill.com has something to offer for gamblers of all types.
- Quality reputation dating back to 1934
- Wide selection of HD live dealer games
- Fast payouts for winners
- Could use more latest-generation slots
- Distinct shortage of video poker games
Today, WilliamHill.com is one of the largest gambling sites on the internet with more than 16,000 employees across nine countries. In addition to its online presence, William Hill operates retail betting shops in the UK, Australia and even the United States. The reason I mention of all this is to make the point that William Hill is a legitimate operator with a major real-world presence. This is not just another “here today, gone tomorrow” gambling website.
As far as casino gambling goes, William Hill actually has four casino options: William Hill casino, live dealer casino, Vegas and Macau. Each casino has its own style, but all four can be accessed from one player account and one account balance.
WilliamHill.com Game Variety
The remainder of our William Hill Casino review will treat all four of the uniquely-themed gaming areas (Casino, Live, Vegas and Macau) as one big casino. They’re all a part of the same website and once you get past the promotions, the only real differences between each is the way it looks and which games are featured where.
Between the four casino at William Hill, you will find large jackpot games, high variance slots, low variance slots, traditional machine-style slots, advanced video slots and more. There is a wide variety of types of slots, but overall there are not that many slots compared to some other casino sites.
William Hill has an eclectic variety of slots games due to enlisting the help of several different software providers. William Hill features games developed by Microgaming, NetEnt, Cryptologic and others. Each company brings different skills and a unique style to its design process, and that has gone a long way in keeping things fresh at William Hill.
The casino also has a collection of games licensed after prominent entertainment icons. These includes slots styled after American Dad, Batman, Green Lantern and even the Flintstones. William Hill Macau also has its own collection of slots that are all Asian-themed, including some that are exclusive to William Hill.
Some of the more popular slot titles available at William Hill Casino include Buffalo Blitz, Dead or Alive and Jackpot Giant.
William Hill Casino does have one weak point: they do not offer many of the latest slots from cutting edge slots developers. There are a few very high quality games, but overall the selection looks fairly dated. This is a bit of a surprise considering how large and successful the company is overall. Their slots should be fine for most players, but you may want to consider PlayOJO if you place a premium on playing the latest slots games.
Table Games at William Hill Casino
William Hill Casino makes up for its decidedly average selection of slots with an impressive array of table games. They offer all the standard games that you would expect to find such as blackjack, roulette and so on in addition to a surprisingly large variety of unique table games that are difficult to find elsewhere.
For example, Wild Viking by Playtech is played similar to roulette except it is based on cards. You can still place the same types of bets that you would in roulette (even/odd, red/black, etc.), but the results are determined by five cards drawn by the dealer rather than by a spinning wheel.
To give you an idea of William Hill’s table game variety, just for roulette alone they offer variations including French roulette, roulette pro, 3D roulette, 101 roulette, French roulette premium, Wild Viking, European roulette, multi-wheel roulette, American roulette and club roulette.
William Hill Macau also has its own collection of Asian-themed versions of roulette, sic bo, baccarat, big wheel and several live dealer games of its own. On top of all that, William Hill Vegas has even more table games such as Mayfair roulette, Mayfair blackjack, 3 card brag, heads-up poker and a few more of its own live dealer table games.
Live Dealer Games
William Hill Vegas and Macau each have a few of their own live dealer games, but the live dealer casino at William Hill is dedicated entirely to live dealer games. The game variety here is well above average with dozens of tables open and staffed by human dealers at any given time.
Game selection begins with all the traditional casino classics with human dealers: blackjack, roulette, baccarat, roulette, three card poker, casino holdem, Ultimate Texas Holdem and Caribbean Stud. These broad categories can be broken down even further when we look at individual tables within those categories.
For example, live dealer blackjack at William Hill Casino consists of about a dozen blackjack variations. Clicking on any of the “main” table game categories from the live dealer lobby will take you to a second screen where you can choose from upwards of a dozen different tables, each staffed by a different dealer and offering different rules variations.
Evolution Gaming powers the live dealer games at William Hill and the quality is basically perfect at this point. I don’t see how the picture quality or interface could be improved significantly beyond this point. The video feeds are high-definition and the picture is smooth. These are easily some of the best live dealer games on the internet.
Software quality at William Hill varies from game to game. With so many different games provided by so many different software providers, a wide range is to be expected. William Hill itself runs perfectly fine and has done an excellent job at integrating several hundred games from various providers into one, functional platform.
None of the four casinos at WilliamHill.com requires a download, although you do have the option to download the mobile app for your iPhone, Android or tablet. I haven’t had a chance to download the mobile William Hill app for myself yet, but 386 reviewers on the iTunes store have given the William Hill app a nearly perfect score.
The live dealer games definitely display the highest quality of all. It’s actually surprising they’re able to offer such high quality video to people all around the world without experiencing massive slowdowns. It’s clear William Hill Casino has invested quite a bit in developing a backend that can handle major server loads.
Slots software quality has the greatest range of quality. Some of their older games are so outdated that it’s distracting if you’re used to newer games. However, William Hill does add new slots to the lineup on a fairly regular basis and those newer games do look great. The one thing all games at William Hill have in common is they are safe and stable.
William Hill Casino is active in more than 100 countries and has gone to great lengths to provide deposit methods that work globally in addition to many country-specific options. The following chart shows a list of every deposit method currently accepted at William Hill.
