ComeOn Casino Review

ComeOn Casino was established in Stockholm in2009 when two friends who knew one another from the gaming industry decided to team up and make a better product. According to them, the industry was growing stagnant with mounting technical issues, bureaucratic processes and so on. With that in mind, they decided to start an exciting, young and hungry gambling website called ComeOn!, named after their vision for building a high-energy gambling brand.

ComeOn Casino Info

From those humble beginnings, ComeOn grew at a rapid pace and now employs more than 420 people around the world. The company maintains offices in London, Stockholm and Malta and holds licenses in Malta, Curacao, Great Britain and the German state of Schleswig-Holstein.

In 2016, Swedish gaming company Cherry AB purchased a 49% interest in ComeOn. Cherry then acquired the remaining 51% in 2017 to complete the acquisition at a total price of nearly €290 million. The people who run Cherry have been involved in gaming since 1963 and have maintained a positive reputation among players over all that time.

ComeOn has continued to experience growth in more recent years and has established itself as one of the online gambling heavyweights in the Nordic region and Europe as a whole. Today, ComeOn operates as an all-in-one gaming site with sports betting, casino games and live dealer games all on offer under one roof.

This ComeOn Casino review focuses specifically on the casino gambling side of the business, but it is worth noting that sports betting also plays a prominent role here. Unlike some other all-in-one gaming sites, ComeOn does not treat casino gambling as an afterthought. In fact, the site is home to more than 700 different casino games of all different types. The game variety here rivals even that of pure casino sites.

ComeOn Casino Games Review

Quick Verdict: Huge game selection, high quality software providers and engaging games

ComeOn is home to one of the largest game collections of any online casino I have reviewed to date. In all, there are more than 700 unique games and titles. More than 500 of these are video slots, but ComeOn also has a collection of traditional card games, table games and video poker machines.

The game selection is so large that it’s almost overwhelming, but the ComeOn website provides handy filters that you can use to find the types of games you want and a search feature to find specific games if you know exactly what you’re looking for. For example, you can use the filters to narrow down your search to video slots, then by software developer to find a list of games that meet those exact criteria.

ComeOn Casino is able to provide such an extensive variety of games by contracting out with nearly a dozen software developers rather than developing everything in house. One thing that stands out to me as a reviewer is ComeOn’s choices in software providers. Although ComeOn offers games from long-term, established providers such as Microgaming and Playtech, they clearly have a thing for cutting edge providers such as Net Entertainment, Yggdrasil and Thunderkick among others.

This may sound like a minor point to some readers, but software providers have an immense effect on your experience as a player because they design games from the ground up. There are many low quality software providers out there and they make the experience a drag whenever a casino leans too heavily on such providers. Likewise, it is always exciting to play games that are modern and unique in their approach to gambling.

ComeOn Slots

Slots feature prominently in the overall ComeOn Casino games lineup with nearly 600 video slots plus several dozen progressive jackpot games and traditional machine-style slots. This is by far one of the biggest collections of slots on the internet and all are designed by the software providers listed above.

At the time of this review, there were exactly 592 video slots with more added on a regular basis. These include high tech games with multiple bonus rounds, progressive jackpot games and a whole range of simpler but fast-moving games. With more than 600 slots in total, ComeOn scores high marks in terms of variety.

There are so many games here, all provided by reputable developers, that it is difficult to find any weak points here. If one game doesn’t offer the experience you want or seems to be missing key features you need, one of the other 600+ games will most likely deliver exactly what it is you need. If one slot falls short in one area, there are dozens of others that are exceedingly strong in that exact area.

The slots area at ComeOn includes a mix of low, medium and high volatility games. On the high end of the volatility spectrum, they have classics such as Immortal Romance from Microgaming, newer games such as Jungle Spirit: Call of the Wild from NetEnt and everything in between.

If you’re curious to see the full games list for yourself, you can visit the ComeOn Casino website here. All games are listed right there on the front page of the casino section and you can try them all for free without needing to sign up for an account. This is the easiest way to see for yourself if ComeOn suits your slot needs.

Table Games and Video Poker

With such a gigantic slots collection, the table games and video poker variety at ComeOn pales in comparison. However, that is to be expected and ComeOn does have all the most important games covered with roughly 40 table games and exactly 14 video poker variations.

As for table games, ComeOn provides blackjack, baccarat, roulette, casino holdem, pai gow poker and all the other standard table games you would expect to see at any major casino. Among these are more than a dozen variations of roulette and 10 different types of blackjack. All ComeOn table games are provided by Net Entertainment (17 games), Microgaming (3 games) and Playtech (19 games).

The 14 video poker games on offer at ComeOn Casino are provided by Net Entertainment, Playtech and Play’n GO. Video poker is often an underserved market among online casinos and ComeOn falls into that category to some extend with just 14 video poker games compared to the hundreds of slots and table games. However, the video poker machines they do offer have significantly better graphics than you typically find online and each is made available in multiple variations.

ComeOn Live Dealer Games

Live dealer gaming is one area in which ComeOn could use some major improvements as they have just five games on offer spread between blackjack, baccarat and roulette. With other major casino sites offering several dozen live dealer games lately, ComeOn has some catching up to do in terms of live dealer game variety.

The games they do have on offer, however, are all high quality offerings. High-definition video and courteous dealers courtesy of the Extreme Live Gaming group. The good news is ComeOn will most likely be expanding its live dealer options in the future. ComeOn debuted its live dealer games in May of 2017, so there hasn’t been a whole lot of time to see them expand on what they offer as of the time of this review.

ComeOn also said in a press release that Extreme Live Gaming software will allow them to stream certain games straight from the Casino Admiral in Gibraltar. By streaming live video from a real casino with real patrons, ComeOn will be able to provide players with the most immersive live experience short of actually visiting a casino in person.

I will reserve judgment for now considering how new the live dealer games are at ComeOn. If they continue to expand on this offering and deliver on their promise to stream games straight from Casino Gibraltar, ComeOn will have a nice casino offering. For now, the best I can rate ComeOn live dealer games is “a work in progress.”

Software Review

From the first time I visited ComeOn.com, their software stood out to me as one of the better I’ve seen from an online casino. ComeOn is clearly well-financed, but they still act as a young and hungry company with constant software improvements and a fresh look compared to some of the more established names in online gambling.

One of the advantages of ComeOn’s approach to online gambling is they have done away with the need to download any software at all. The full casino and all 700+ games are available with no download and can be played through your browser. Never once have I been asked to download anything to view the games or play them.

The ComeOn website is fully mobile compatible as well. The casino functions equally well whether you’re visiting from your desktop, Mac or tablet. Games load quickly if you have a decent internet connection and graphics on every game range from very basic to extremely high end.
