What Przelewy24 Is

Przelewy24 is an online payment gateway rather than a wallet. On an online transfer, the buyer logs in to their own internet banking and the transfer details are filled in for them, so the payment is authorised from the payer's bank account. The gateway also fronts other Polish methods, including BLIK and card payments.

Who Operates It

Przelewy24 is owned by PayPro S.A. PayPro S.A. is entered in the register of domestic payment institutions kept by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority under entity registration number IP24/2014, and its activities as a domestic payment institution are regulated by that authority. Przelewy24's own legal statement adds that it operates an authorisation and clearing system under a decision of the President of the National Bank of Poland dated 1 April 2011, and provides payment services as a domestic payment institution under a decision of the Financial Supervision Authority dated 10 June 2014.

Where It Is Available

Przelewy24 is a Polish rail. Its authorisations are Polish, its operator is a Polish domestic payment institution, and its own site describes the business as serving e-commerce in Poland. The Financial Supervision Authority states that its register of payment institutions is public and published at e-rup.knf.gov.pl.

Fees and Timings

Przelewy24 states that an online transfer moves funds from the customer to the merchant immediately, without waiting for interbank sessions. Its help centre states that where a transaction goes to verification, the check may take until the end of the working day following the day of payment, and that a refund paid back by bank transfer or BLIK reaches the account within up to three working days, while a refund to a payment card follows the card operator's own limits and may take from seven to thirty calendar days. Przelewy24 publishes no player-facing deposit fee; the commission figures on its site are merchant pricing, and the activation fee is refundable if ten transactions are completed in the first two months.
