More About Cryptocurrencies at Online Casinos
What a Crypto Deposit Is
A crypto deposit sends a token from the player's own wallet to an address the casino controls. No bank sits in the middle, no card network authorises it, and once the transfer confirms on the network it cannot be recalled by the sender.
That last point is the practical difference from every other category on this site. A card payment can be disputed with the issuer and a bank transfer can sometimes be recalled. A confirmed on-chain transfer has no equivalent mechanism.
Bitcoin Reaches Anywhere the Network Does
Bitcoin's reach is a property of the network rather than of a company's commercial agreements. The project's own FAQ puts it plainly: It is possible to send and receive bitcoins anywhere in the world at any time.
Read precisely, that is a statement about the network and not about legality, and the difference matters. A transfer being technically possible from a given country says nothing about whether gambling is lawful there, nor about whether an operator will accept a player from it. Those are separate questions this site answers per market.
Tether Is Not Open to Everyone, and Says So
A stablecoin is issued by a company, and that company sets terms. Tether's are unusually restrictive and they are worth reading before assuming a USDT deposit is available.
Tether defines a class of excluded users — a Prohibited Person, which its terms say means any U.S. Person (except for Eligible Contract Participants agreed by Tether, in its sole discretion); any Canadian Person; any Singaporean Person; the Government of Venezuela
— and states the consequence directly: For the avoidance of doubt, U.S. Persons (except for Eligible Contract Participants agreed by Tether, in its sole discretion) are prohibited from directly or indirectly holding, owning or operating a Tether Tokens Wallet or Tether
.
It also names excluded territories. A Prohibited Jurisdiction, in its terms, means Cuba, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), Iran, Syria, Crimea (a region of Ukraine annexed by the Russian Federation)
, among others. And the prohibition is on holding the wallet at all, not merely on transacting: Every Prohibited Person is strictly prohibited from directly or indirectly holding, owning or operating a Tether Tokens Wallet in any way or otherwise transacting on or using the Services.
So the two tokens on this site behave differently in the one respect a depositing player cares about. Bitcoin's constraint is legal and operator-side. Tether's is also contractual, and it excludes residents of some of the largest markets outright.
Two on This Site
Two crypto pages are published here: Bitcoin and Tether (USDT). Tether carries a limited status because of the terms above. The category is small on purpose — a token page is only worth writing where there is something specific and sourced to say about using it at a licensed operator.
What This Page Does Not Do
It does not give a price, a fee or a confirmation time: all three move constantly and a figure written here would be stale within the hour. It does not say crypto deposits are private — an on-chain transfer is a public record, which is close to the opposite. It does not advise using crypto to deposit from a market where online casino play is unlawful; that a transfer is technically possible is not a reason to make it. And it does not list which casinos accept which token, because that is recorded per operator and changes without notice.
