Live Dealer Three Card Poker Casinos

Three Card Poker is a perfect fit for live dealer casinos. The game is easy to deal, the rules are simple for the players and the game doesn’t require complex equipment. As long as you have a dealer, a card table and a deck of cards, you’ve got yourself a viable live dealer casino game.

Casino sites with live dealer games take those real tables and dealers and set them up in a private studio in front of cameras. You’re then able to watch in real time as the dealer shuffles, deals and collects the cards. You place your bets at home just like normal, but a real person on the other side of the screen manages the game just like you would see at a brick-and-mortar casino.

It’s strange that there aren’t more live dealer 3 Card Poker casino sites than there are. Currently, the only major brand that offers a live version of the game is William Hill. Hopefully we’ll see more brands get on board and start hosting their own live 3 Card Poker games. It may be that the game as a whole needs to get a bigger following. 3 Card Poker just doesn’t have the same fan base as old classics like blackjack and roulette.

The good news is that William Hill is a great place to play. This company has a history that dates back to 1934. They got their start in the world of live betting decades before the internet was even a dream. Over all that time, William Hill has treated players well and operated in good faith.

How Live Dealer 3 Card Poker Works

If you have any experience with 3 Card Poker, you won’t have any trouble getting started with the live dealer version. All the same rules will be in play and you’ll get the same payouts that you’re used to. The only major differences are that now a human dealer will shuffle real cards and you’ll share the table with other players.

Anyone not familiar with the game need not worry. 3 Card Poker is a quick game to pick up. The main thing to know is that your goal is to get the best possible hand consisting of three cards. You begin each round by choosing an amount to bet.

The dealer will then deal three cards in front of you and three cards in front of the dealer. Take a moment to look at your cards and decide if you’d like to continue on in the hand. If you like your 3 cards, you will need to place a second wager equal in size to your first wager. If you don’t like your three cards, you can fold and forfeit the first wager.

Next, the dealer reveals everyone’s cards. Before anything else happens, the dealer checks to see if she qualifies with a hand of Queen-high or better. If not, you are paid even money on your first wager and your second wager is returned to you.

If the dealer does qualify, your hand is compared to the dealer’s hand. If your hand is better, you win even money on both bets. If the dealer’s hand is better, you lose both bets.

There are also bonus payouts if your final hand consists of a straight or better. If you have any of the following hands, you’ll get these bonus payouts:

  • Straight: 1:1
  • Three of a Kind: 4:1
  • Straight Flush: 5:1

You also have the option to place an optional “pairs plus” bet that offers payouts for achieving powerful hands. The nice thing about this bet is that it pays no matter what happens against the dealer. If you take this bet, you’ll get the following payouts for these hands:

  • Pair: 1:1
  • Flush: 4:1
  • Straight: 5:1
  • Three of a Kind: 30:1
  • Straight Flush: 40:1
  • Royal Flush (AKQ of the same suit): 100:1

That’s the basic rundown of what you can expect in live dealer 3 Card Poker. This might look like a lot, but you’ll find the game easy to learn. All it takes is a couple rounds and you’ll be an expert in no time. If you’d like to read more about the game, take a look at our 3 Card Poker guide here.
