Founding and Group

Novomatic's own pages state that the group was founded in 1980 by Johann F. Graf, that it has locations in about 50 countries, and that it exports high-tech electronic gaming equipment and solutions to more than 130 countries. The group holding company is NOVOMATIC AG.

What It Makes

Novomatic describes its product range as covering land-based gaming products and services, management systems and cash management, online, mobile and social gaming solutions, and lottery and sports betting solutions. Within games specifically it lists game mixes, jackpots, gaming platforms and electronic table games. It also states that it provides its products and gaming operations only in regulated markets with clear regulatory and legal frameworks.

Greentube, the Online Arm

Greentube is the entity behind Novomatic content in online casinos. It states that it is the NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment division, and that it became part of the NOVOMATIC Group in 2010 — its own first step into gaming having been the 3D sports game Ski Challenge in 1998. Its portfolio includes classic slots, video bingo, video poker, table games, server-based gaming and social casino gaming, supplied both as off-the-shelf and tailored content and across real-money and social operations.

Where It Is Licensed

NOVOMATIC AG states on its own site that it is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 45352; the Commission's own register records an active remote gambling software licence and an active non-remote gaming machine technical licence against that account. Greentube states that it is licensed in Great Britain under account number 41020, which the register shows with an active remote gambling software licence, and that Greentube GmbH is regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and licensed to offer type 1 gaming services as a corporate entity under authorisation MGA/CRP/120/2006 dated 1 March 2023. That authorisation is Greentube's own statement.

Novomatic Games

Novomatic's own games page groups its gaming content into four segments: Game Mixes, Jackpots, Gaming Platforms and Electronic Table Games. Neither Novomatic nor Greentube publishes a game total, so none is given here, and neither publishes a figure for how many editions a single multi-game cabinet holds.

Betting and Lottery Products

Novomatic states that its product range covers lottery and sports betting solutions, and its own business-area list names Sportwetten and Lottery Solutions. Beyond those two names its pages set out no service lines for either, so none is described here and no division is named that Novomatic does not name itself.
